The City of Columbia has implemented a Utility Project Review Fee of $250 required for all new water and sanitary sewer utility project submissions. You have several options to pay:
Through the Development Center:
- In person at their offices at 1401 Main St., Columbia, SC, 29201, 6th floor via cash, check, credit card or money order
- Online via https://planninganddevelopment.columbiasc.gov/payments/
- Mail to: City of Columbia, Attn: Development Center, 1136 Washington St, 29201
Through the Engineering Department ([email protected]):
- In person at our offices at 1401 Main St., Columbia, SC, 29201, 6th floor via check or credit card
- Mail to: City of Columbia, Attn: Eng Dept-Admin, 1401 Main St, 29201
You can also submit your projects and pay online via our new e-permitting system, Energov at https://access.columbiasc.gov/selfservice. This system gives you 24/7 access to:
- Create/manage an account
- Submit your project
- See staff comments/requests and make necessary edits to your submission
- Track the status of your project through various stages through completion
- Pay the Utility Review Fee and other fees associated with your project
