Major Improvements to Start in Lake Katherine/Gills Creek Area

First phase of upcoming sewer system upgrades will impact Crowson Road

Columbia, SC – May 9, 2019 – Columbia Water, through its Clean Water 2020 Program, will begin road work soon on Crowson Road between Devine Street and Fort Jackson Boulevard to upgrade sewer lines in the City of Columbia. Construction in this area is currently scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 16, and is expected to finish by the end of June. During this project, portions of Crowson Road will be blocked off intermittently due to the replacement of aging sewer lines in the area.

Local businesses and shops near this section of Crowson Road will remain accessible throughout the road construction. Detours and alternate routes will be accessible to traffic, as well.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the infrastructure in this area.
